The Route
Today was the last leg for my trip into Seattle (for a week of business). The skies alternated between overcast with light rain to bright sun. Temps went from the low 50's to the mid 70's and the ride went from great to incredible.
The ride across the Northern Cascades put everything else on this trip to shame. Although other roads offered great views, Washington Highway 20 makes it up close and personal. On 20 you don't just see the scenery you are in it.
The last 30-plus miles into Seattle on I-5 were...well, intense. Forget anything you heard about Seattle being a mellow place.
The hotel is a cool older place. The room is super. And my girl is here to greet me. PERFECT.
